I started painting ceramics about 15 years ago and branched out to fabric, glass and rock. I was mainly selling in consignment shops and craft fairs until one day I read about Etsy in the newspaper. I thought this would be a great way to showcase my creations, plus no more getting up early and traveling to set up our booth which at that time, my mother was partners with me and was a very talented, professional cake decorator, oil and acrylic painter. Our different styles meshed well together and we painted bisque figurines and wine glasses until her Dementia reared it’s ugly head. I think of those special times a lot!

I started on Etsy in 2010 with hand painted sweatshirts and fringed, cut-up tee shirts plus wine glasses. Later, I added my own 40-50 year old Vintage jewelry plus a few handmade pieces. I am a freestyle painter and let my designs flow from my imagination, unless it’s a certain request from a customer. I do tend to gravitate to romantic styles with roses, old time themes, sparkles and lace. I love to mix my paints to create unique colors and that's why I call myself the Mad Painter! I have taken some air brush classes, and at the request of other ceramists, I taught how to paint faces and eyes in a ceramic class but my love and enjoyment comes from creating my own styles and especially making my customers happy. If one of my creations or jewelry is purchased, not only does it make me feel special but I hope it brings joy to them for many years to come. I safely package and ship within 1-3 days.
